Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days

rawfor30 asked:

Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days is an independent documentary film that chronicles six Americans with ‘incurable’ diabetes switching their diet and getting off insulin. The film follows each participant’s remarkable journey and captures the medical, physical, and emotional transformations brought on by this diet and lifestyle change. We witness moments of struggle, support, and hope as what is revealed, with startling clarity, is that diet can reverse diabetes* and change lives. Additional wisdom is provided by Morgan Spurlock, Woody Harrelson, Anthony Robbins, Rev. Michael Beckwith, and Doctors Fred Bisci, Joel Furman, and Gabriel Cousens.

I wish the title was honest.

It should say “Reversing Type 2 Diabetes in 30 Days”. Type 2 is 100% self inflicted. I worked with a man that was 70 years old, ate a damn near PERFECT diet, and had been suffering from Type 1 since BIRTH. Oh yeah, and we were out building houses, the guy could do several pull ups, push ups, muscle ups, and worked circles around me every day.

But he went into SEVERE diabetic comas and forget where he was, his own name. Type 1 is serious ****. Tell the truth.

The Gerson Therapy has also used this philosophy to cure cancer and degenerative diseases for over 60 years.

@JapanAlex01 so….you’re calling me a dolt? how about you supply some information to answer my question if you’re so smart.

Thanks to the anonymity of the internet, people can be as rude as they wish with no repercussions.

I don’t think a person can generalize and say meat and dairy should not be a part of all human diet. You have to do what works for you. I think the best thing to keep in mind is to keep food as close to nature as possible.

Here’s a question: the raw diet opposes cooking because the nutrients and enzymes are eliminated in the cooking process. What about foods that have an increase in nutrients once cooked, like lycopene in tomatoes, which is a substance suggested to decrease prostate cancer?

@MortishaPoppins not sure what the previous comment was about, but along the lines of teeth: it seems that our soft food diets are one of the causes of crooked teeth. Our ancestors who didn’t have the comforts of our modern food preparation ate food in a more raw state…even meat. It’s tough foods that have been thought to keep their teeth straight…just another argument that our white bread, mashed potato society isn’t eating the way it ought to.

@disndat11 Mat 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

No matter what you say I am blessed.

BTW, since I have been vegan by blood sugars are under control.

    @DigitalPraise7
You just discredited your self by bringing God into your reasoning.

@wesclips The rest of the body says otherwise. It is the taste of meat and dairy that is confusing.

  • Recipe Of The Day

@DigitalPraise7 the makeup of our teeth say otherwise. We are omnivores.

could you PLEASE differentiate between Type I and Type II’s; you do a great deal of disservice to Type I’s when making these kind of broad statements using the general term “diabetes”. Type I is not caused by lifestyle.

@Nightbird My dear Nightbird, meat and dairy is NOT necessary for good health. My wife, 8 month old daughter and myself have been vegan for a year and are doing fine. The propaganda is from the meat and dairy industry in order to secure profits. BTW, flesh eating is a result of sin. Yes I brought up the “s” word. Animals and man alike were on the Genesis diet to begin with. I must say the truth. God cannot be left out of the discussion.

  • Exercise Those Inches Off!

@Nightbird PLEASE look at the teeth of the human species for the very easiest proof of what our diet should be…..compare to other animals and what their natural diets are. Just be open minded to the physical evidence the human digestive tract offers.

  • Yummy Recipes

Very inspiring and so very logical given our physiological make up and obvious optimum diet for our digestive system…. take a serious look at our teeth and digestive tract. Why are people so afraid to embrace what makes SO MUCH SENSE and can be backed scientifically

PSP I hv written two long replies but both times you tube was not available so weren’t posted. Can’t be bothered to type it all out again but just to say I didn’t claim anything except raw foods will lower blood sugar. Low blood sugar = lower insulin ergo no brainer. If u hv diabetes I hope u find peace, but pls do urself a favour, clean up your language and argue in a more civilised manner, people are more likely to take you seriously.

@nyxs60 Please. This sort of nonsense deserves no respect, and none shall be given. Good nutrition is preferred? Great. Nobody is complaining about that. Claiming that nutrition will do what it will not do–and curing diabetes is among those things–is another entirely. Specifically, when people in here are claiming that someone with type 1 will no longer require insulin shots if only they were to change their diet? Pure bullshit. You should know at least that much, “scientist.”

Postsimianproduct I have worked as a health scientist for over 12 years and have a masters degree as well as being a registered nurse. As a scientist I keep an open mind but I do know that good nutrition beats the pants off pharmaceuticals any day. I feel sorry for you because your anger is totally stressing you out. If I didn’t clarify myself then that’s my bad but being rude and insulting needs anger management classes. Go get some and chill….
