Parents fume over cuts made to children’s physical education (The Williamsport Sun-Gazette)

HUGHESVILLE – Several East Lycoming School District parents are worried that plans this fall to provide physical education for a half year to junior high school students may contribute to obesity and diabetes. The parents group, which claims to represent 130 taxpayers, has waged an ongoing debate with administrators after failing to get honors’ courses reinstated in the school curriculum.
