Making Sense of Military Suicide Statistics is Difficult
The Los Angeles Times, publishing yesterday, took a look at suicide rates in the U.S. Army and a program at Ft. Bliss, Texas, that seems to be making a difference. The latest data it could obtain was from 2011. A look at the available data reveals that the military does not have current data or does not make it public. Making some sense of the numbers and what they mean is difficult.
