What is Glucosamine
Glucosamine was first discovered in 1876, but not fully defined until 1939. Glucosamine is a popular alternative medicine used by consumers for the treatment of osteoarthritis and is also extensively used in veterinary medicine. In Europe, glucosamine is approved as a medical drug and is sold in the form of glucosamine sulfate.
