Early education, good food, exercise vital for armed forces

At least 75 percent of Americans ages 17 to 24 are ineligible for military service because of factors such as criminal records, poor academics and shabby physical fitness, Pentagon officials say. In Pittsburgh, 80 percent to 90 percent don’t qualify.
