You don’t ‘catch’ diabetes from someone else, and it’s not hereditary. Research has proven that a combination of daily aerobic exercise and a proper diet can improve the health of a diabetic. After a few months, it is possible for the insulin resistance to improve. I coached a middle-aged lady 12 mths ago who had type 2 diabetes. She started cardio exercise at the gym, and after 3 months (of 45 mins of cardio, 3 times a week) her GP was so pleased that he took her off all medication! That was a year ago and she still feels great.
The type of food you eat WILL NOT change your ‘physical makeup’ in terms of fat storage. Any excess energy intake will result in fat storage. Doesnt matter whether it comes from excess carbs, proteins or fat. Excess energy will always be stored as fat… the same kind of fat.
I’m afraid that your source is mistaken regarding fat cells and metabolism. You shouldn’t believe everything you read in ‘cookbooks’ or other ‘food’ books written for the gullible masses. I’m regularly shocked by the mis-information I read on these blogs, especially in the USA. You all seem so convinced that what you’re saying is correct, but it’s not. And for the record, the views I express here are supported by a science degree, scientific journal articles and reputable texts. Good luck.
