80% of voters exercise franchise in Manipur polls as violence claims 5 lives

Around 80 per cent of the 17.50 lakh voters exercised their franchise in the elections today to choose a new legislative assembly in Manipur, which were marred by violence by militants in which five people were killed and two injured.
