CDC: Frogs tied to salmonella being sold again (AP)

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention officials on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 said Blue Lobster Farms, a California company, in June had resumed shipping African dwarf frogs from its Madera County, California, breeding facility. The company had voluntarily stopped shipping the frogs in April, after an investigation found them to be the source of a salmonella outbreak that sickened about 240 people nationwide over two years. CDC officials believe the frogs may still pose a serious health risk.
