Decision day looms for Nations Cup hosts Morocco

He is heading to West Africa on Sunday to inspect blood samples gathered from Ebola patients in Guinea in hopes of tracing the path of the virus in the country where the current outbreak began. Such samples are scarce and precious. So far, only a few scientists have them, and many more say they need them in order to do critical research on the virus. …

Ebola death toll rises to 4,950 – WHO

"Case incidence is declining in some districts in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, while steep rises persist in other districts," the United Nations agency said in a statement with its latest figures to Nov. 4. Shoring up defences in states neighbouring the three countries remains "critical", it said.
