Lilly drug fails in breast cancer trial, shares fall

The drug, ramucirumab, has been successful in gastric cancer trials and is also being tested for colon, liver and lung cancers, with key late stage data on those three expected next year. But Lilly shares fell more than 3 percent after it released the disappointing breast cancer results. …

Body fat tied to heart risks in normal-weight adults

Looking at data on 1,528 people with a normal body mass index (BMI) – a measure of weight in relation to height – researchers found one in five men and nearly one in three women had a body fat percentage above what is considered healthy. The study builds on previous research showing some people with a healthy weight may still be carrying around too much fat. …
